Villains 6 - 0 Seohyeon
Despite a strong start in the rain Celtic's second match ended up as a lopsided victory for last season's champions. Trailing by an unfortunate own goal to nil Celtic tried to get back in the game, but a series of mistakes and unlucky deflections left the boys deflated. Manager Jun Young was quick to accept the blame and say the following:
'This was another travesty of a result. They showed us how a champion team capitalises on mistakes, we will learn and we will improve. We do not have to pass like Zidane and shoot like Ronaldo, we just need to do the basic things correctly and then the results will come - starting with our next match!'
Celtic's players and fans alike reacted positively to the manager's words with rumours of a rambunctious gathering that night. led my legend Lovett, circulating in all the Sunday papers.
Fans spoke of positives such as an outstanding performance from debutant Minseob and a great shift being put in by Rick, something very few had expected to see. Jacob's handsome cousin jeongho also got a few cheers from the gallery with some assured passing and moving. Celtic will look forward to the next match with long time rivals Phoenix.

Cosmos 7-1 Seohyeon
The first game of the season was played in searing temperatures far from Bundang and after a strong start the Celtic lads wilted in the heat. Some early refereeing decisions did not go the way of the Celts and an error right before the first half time whistle left the lads winded. Despite some good performances and a slew of debuts Celtic were unable to match the experienced Cosmos and will look forward to the net match as a chance to get back on track. Experienced manager JYB said 'It is hard to accept this kind of cruel result. But instead of crying and avoiding it we will accept it and improve in future. I don't want our players or fans to be disappointed based on this one result, it's a long season and next Saturday we go again!'
Celtic fans and players alike will look forward to Saturday's match vs reigning Champions Villains, check back with us here to see how the Celts get on!

Seohyeon 2 Cosmos 0
After starting the season with two defeats, Seohyeon Celtic bounced back with a dominant 2-0 over Seoul Cosmos in the Middle of Nowhere Stadium.
Manager Terry Dobbins’ pre-game plans were disrupted in the run-up to the game with transport problems. However this didn’t seem to affect Seohyeon, who started the game on the front foot with good chances for Colo Collins, shooting just wide, and a header from Avery forcing a save from the goalkeeper.
Despite Seohyeon’s early dominance, the score remained 0-0. That was until, on the stroke of half time, Sangha Park did well to keep the ball in play before squaring to inform Sean McBride who put the ball beyond the flailing Cosmo’s goalkeeper. No more than Seohyeon deserved.
A reaction from Cosmos was expected and they came out in the second third with a few tactical changes that forced Seohyeon to soak up pressue for periods in the second half and Cosmos even had a goal rightly ruled out for offside. The Cosmos number 21, who was lucky to not be sent off for wildly swinging out at Liam Hayes, was a danger but was kept quiet by a combination Sean Og Page and Hayes.
The Celtic centre backs and goalkeepers Robin Bower and Tim Pack were in excellent form and nullified Cosmos’ long ball game.
The more Cosmos went forward though the more dangerous the Seohyeon attack became. Sean McBride went close again greedily striking over(we’ll forgive him) and Collins had an excellent chance to wrap it up with a one-one created with a Bergkamp-esque turn, but shot wide.
The Seohyeon faithful on the sidelines, all the way from Austria,Malaysia and Fresno, were tense going into the closing stages.
Then, some quick thinking from Liam Hayes sent Joshua Avery through on goal. The defender caught him but the American midfield dragged the ball back before slotting into the bottom corner to seal the win for Seohyeon, much to the delight of their manager Terry Dobbins

Fever 2 - 2 Celtic
Derby Game ends All Square 5th of October 2013 Match 5
Celtic and Fever continued their rivalry with a ferocious 2 - 2 draw on a sunny saturday in Seoul. Fever started off with a high tempo game but Celtic stood firm and grabbed a foot hold in the game as the first 30 minutes went on. Right on half time a period of Celtic pressure paid off with a Joey flick on setting Charlton up for his first goal since coming back to Celtic. The noise from the crowd which greeted the finish showed just how welcome a goal it was for the attacker.
With a rollicking from their manager Fever pushed hard for the equaliser and were given the perfect opportunity when a soft penalty was awarded. The penalty was placed passed American keeper Tim and the teams were back on level terms.
After the penalty Celtic reacted well and put some good moves together. A stunning delivery from McBride was met by new recruit Olivieri at the back post and Celtic were back in front. In a game of swings in momentum Fever were able to get back on terms with a long range strike from their dangerous number 12. The bhoys in yellow were disappointed to be dragged back to level terms but both teams entered the final 30 thinking they could take the 3 points.
A brisk and hard fought final 30 brought no goals and both teams were left with a point a piece and a case of the what might have beens. After two games without a victory the lads will be looking to get back to winning ways next Saturday in Janhanpyeong.
Scorers: Charlton, Olivieri.
Cards:
Man of the Match: Kevin Go. In the closest vote to date for Man of the Match (with 6 separate players getting votes) Kevin Go was declared the winner. An energetic performance from the winger come full back meant he was a fair and popular selection.
Moment of the Match: A soft penalty decision at the start of the second period was a big moment which changed the direction of the match.
Squad: Steven, Tim, Ethan, Lenny, Jojo, Sean Og, Kibon, Terry, Jacob, Jun Young, Cason, Olivieri, Kevin Go, King, Charlton, Dobbins, Hayes, Collins, Joey, McBride, SangHa.

Celtic 1 - 2 Russian Shtyle
Clash of the Titans goes Russian Way 28th of September 2013 Match 4
With both teams entering the game with 100% records this match was set up as an early test of title credentials for both teams. The Celtic squad once more turned out in force determined to carry on the form they had shown before the Chusok break. Manager Dobbins made some changes to the starting line-up showing his intent to attack from the start. In a back and forth tussle Celtic had the upper hand on the field but not on the score board. The shtylish Russian number 11 was proving to be a handful whenever on the ball but otherwise the Celtic rearguard were rarely threatened . After 30 minutes the score remained 0 - 0.
With changes on both sides the teams recommenced and it was the lads in red that broke the deadlock, and as many onlookers had predicted it was the dangerman number 11 who scored the goal. It was quite harsh on the Celtic back line as but for a deflection the goal would not have happened. With just 30 minutes remaining Seohyeon went all out in search of the equaliser but were cruelly punished when a Russian counter attack made the score 2-0.
The team in yellow and black did not let their heads drop however and after numerous encouraging attacks finally broke through with some magnificent individual skill from recent signing Ted. Push as they might the bhoys could not find the equaliser and were left to rue earlier missed chances.
Fans interviewed after the game decreed that it was far from a disheartening defeat and eagerly look forward to the next time the two teams meet. Celtic's players agreed with many believing they had been unlucky on the day and still have what it takes to win the title.
Scorer: Ted
Cards: Jacob Choe, Ethan, McBride.
Man of the Match: Ted. With a strong showing from Stephen withstanding a close vote went to Ted. Despite limited minutes on the field the attacking player showed some great skill and has announced his arrival in style.
Moment of the Match: Ted cutting in from the left, leaving numerous Russian defenders in his wake before calmly slotting the ball into the corner was a sight to behold.
Squad: Stephen, Chris, Jojo, Lenny, McBride, Charlton, Dobbins, Jun Young, Hayes, Sean Og, Joey, Ward, Kevin Go, Sangha, Collins, Cason, Olivieri, Ethan, Jacob, Jono, Kibon, King, Tim.

Celtic 3 - 0 INTs
Celtic enter the break on top 14th of September 2013 Match 3
The bumble bhoys will enter the Chuseok a top the table after an entertaining and convincing 3 - 0 victory. Boasting a squad of 23 Celtic looked set to steam roll an INTs squad consisting of 12 players and 2 wives. In the opening period however INT's showed that they were not in Moran merely to make up the numbers with the score locked at 0 - 0 at the end of 30 minutes despite some clear chances and impressive performances from players such as Lenny and Collins.
Using the size of the squad to his advantage manager Dobbins rang the changes for the second period and it soon paid off with a towering header from Kibon Koech going in off the bar after a perfectly taken corner from Eoin King. Moments later some lovely link up play sent Simon flying through leaving the defender no choice but to take him down. A penalty was rightly awarded and Joey, on his first match back after suspension, scored after a long delay. The period will be remembered for the debuts of Cason and Oliveri, both of whom looked like excellent signings for Seohyeon.
Celtic continued their dominance in the final 30mins with a powerful close range finish from King making it 3 - 0 after yet more great work from wing wizard Simon who had linked up well with Hayes. Late on, after good work from new signing Ted, Joey won a penalty after being taken down cynically in the box. McBride stepped up to dispatch the spot kick but a confused referee awarded a free kick to INTs after Collins was adjudged to have encroachcd before the kick was taken. Celtic kept calm despite the wrong decision and the final whistle sounded soon after. The lads went on to celebrate their victory with a drink or two, taking the time to reflect on a solid win and many strong performances.
Scorers: Kibon, Joey, Eoin.
Cards: Kevin Go, Jacob Choe.
Man of the Match: Sean Og Page. The skillful Irish man made the most of his time on the field with an energetic performance on both ends of the field. His link up play was top class and his runs were described by Tom the poet as 'potent'. With his compatriot King scoring his first league goal for Celtic many feel that Page's first goal is not far off either.
Moment of the Match: The referee wrongly disallowing McBride's goal could have been a lot more controversial under different circumstances. Celtic fans will be happy that it didn't occur at a more crucial time of the season.
Squad: Tim, Lenny, Ethan, Jojo, Kibon, Jacob, Terry, Jun Young, Collins, Charlton, McBride, Joey, Hayes, King, Sean Og, Simon, Kevin Go, Sangha, Cason, Oliveri, Derek, Ted, Jono.

Bulkers 0 - 3 Celtic
Winning start continues 7th of September 2013 Match 2
Celtic stayed top of division two with a win that was more about the gritty performances than the result. In a match the bhoys were expected to win a goal from Jacob Choe, who looks to have recaptured his previous best, settled any nerves there may have been. Bulkers put up a tough fight and peppered Stephen's goal with shots at every opportunity but the Celtic defence coped well with Ethan and Jojo looking as if they had played together from years. The returning Lenny added a calm head at the back and much needed energy going forward. No goals were forthcoming in the 2nd period and fans were heard to say 'Joey would have scored a few here, can't wait till he's back (source yet to be confirmed).' A well worked set play led to a deft headed goal from McBride and a late goal which Jacob should have made his own went in off a Bulkers defender. At the end of the day manager Dobbins and the Celtic faithful were happy with the 3points and celebrations continued well into the night.
Scorers: Jacob, McBride, O.g.
Cards: Sean Og Page (yellow).
Man of the Match: Stephen. Despite not being overworked his presence spread a confidence throughout the team and he made some vital saves at times when a goal against might have turned the tide of the game.
Moment of the Match: A well worked free kick involving Dobbins and Jacob which lead to a rare headed effort from McBride showed the potential that is there if Celtic get their act together on set plays.
Squad: Stephen, Ethan, Jojo, Lenny, Terry, Jacob, Liam, Jono, Sean Mc, Sean Page, Eoin, Tom, Collins, Kibon, Jun Young.

Celtic 6 -4 Wanoos
Celts grab first win of the season
On Saint Patrick's weekend Seohyeon Celtic found their scoring boots to ensure a first win of the season. Celtic got off to a great start with 2 assured finishes from Kevin providing the perfect finishes to some great build up play in which another Kevin ,Gonsalez , was heavily involved. Celtic seemed to relax a bit too much after that and after some havoc in the defence Wanoos were suddenly level at 2-2. Some changes in personnel and focus led to a strong second 30mins and a 5-2 lead for the Celts with goals from Jun Young, Collins and McBride. Wanoos rarely threatend but on one occassion Keeper Hayes was forced to make a top class save which thrilled the tens of fans in attendance.
The last 30 mins brought plenty of chances for the boyos in the bright shirts but only 1 more goal came - a first goal of the season for captain Joey after another superb pass from Korean Kevin . Wanoos rallied late on to score 2 more goals to put a less accurate look on the scoreline (despite the best efforts of Lovett's hands and McBride's fists). In the end Celtic were very happy with the 3 points and the game will be remembered for a great debut by Fritz and the re-emergence of a certain Korean winger as one of the top talents in the SSFL.

Celtic 1 - 1 SISC
Celtic off the mark
The clash of the teams relegated from last seasons division 1 teams ended 1-1 after a lively battle in Cheolsan. Celtic once again had a bg turnout with plenty of players looking to impress. Top scorer in Celtic history Jin was back and confidence was high amongst the bumble bhoys. Despite an impressive start Celtic were unable to find the break through and it was in fact SISC who went ahead with their first chance of the match. Celtic heads did not drop however and they equalised in the second period after some sublime build up work involving captain Joey and MVP Jun-Young was finished off in style by the Jinsane One. Celtic had the better of the play and the chances but were left thanking Liam for a couple of top class saves which meant the game ended in a draw. So although the Celts may have been disappointed there were a lot of positives, such as Gonzalez in the middle and Chris' return to take from the game.

Celtic 2 - 4 Ewha United
Huge Squad beaten by Students
The first game of the season saw Celtic set records on both the player and spectator attendance fronts. Despite being roared on by their masses of friends the new and expanded Celtic squad could not gel together quickly enough. There was some impressive early work with the two Seans running things in midfield, but despite impressive build up play they were unable to make any real chances. Despite looking comfortable for the most part at the back, Celtic found themselves 3 - 0 down , much to their shock , with the opposition in red taking full advantage of any mistake the boys in the fancy new kits made. After finding their feet in the 2nd period Celtic staged an impressive fight back when goals from Collins and Ward brought them to within 1 goal of another great comeback. It was however not to be and the Celts got their campaign off to a losing start. The spirit in the camp was not dampened however with rumours of a wild night out ending with Jacob on the floor spreading throughout the supporters messages boards the following day. The bumble bhoys will hope to bounce back next Saturday vs. SISC, and with the best fans in the land behind them they could well take the 3 points.

Celtic 3 - 3 Uzbek
Old foes continue their war
Celtic and Uzbek once more met to do battle alongside the picturesque Han River. The match itself however was far more akin to a UFC bout.
In this relegation tussle Celtic started far the better and carved the Uzbek defence a part time after time. Sadly for them they could not take advantage of their dominance and the teams ended the first 30 deadlocked.
As is often the case in this funny 'ol game Uzbek scored against the run of play following a mix up in the Celtic defence which presented super striker Akmal with the half chance he had been looking for. He took his chance expertly and Celtic were once more behind. Another moment of chaos led to Uzbek snatching a second and your heroes went into the last 30 mins 2-0 behind.
With survival on the line manager Hayes and captain Joey did their best to let the troops know exactly how important the following 30minutes could prove to be in the history of SCFC. Their words seemed to have the desired affect as Celtic game out flying and created some excellent chances, yet, as has too often been the case, none were taken.
A quick counter attack led to another Uzbek goal and Celtic looked to be dead and buried. However as proven the week before the boys in green are never out of any game and a calmly taken yet contentious strike from recent signing Nembhard gave Celtic something to fight for. Uzbek were clearly rattled and took to in-fighting and making death threats towards certain Celtic players as well as the much harangued referee. In a hectic final few minutes Celtic managed to level the game with 2 excellently taken goals and a header from Kibom threatened to take all 3 points. It was not to be however and Celtic were left with another hard fought for point.
In the games aftermath management and team alike reflected on a point won but 2 more which should have been taken. The Celtic squad have shown great signs of progression in recent weeks, evidenced by the never say die spirit which has once more returned. All those who love the team will hope that this progress can be continued with a win vs. Outkasts next Saturday.

Celtic 2 - 2 Villains
Stirring comeback vs. Villains warms Celtic
On another wet day in Seoul, Celtic produced a mammoth come back which could well see their thus far disappointing season fire into action.
A nightmare start, in which a mistake let lethal striker McCabe put SVFC 1-0 up, threatened to put all Celtic's pre-match preparation to waste. The lads recovered well however and battled well against their more established opposition.
A break away goal from Viscoe which Derek could do nothing to stop left Celtic 2 goals behind with 30 mins to play.
The Boys in green did not let their heads drop and stirred by some strong words from manager Hayes came out knowing that another loss was not yet a forgone conclusion.
Celtic's training sessions seemed to be paying off as they outran and out hustled the Villains to every 50-50 winning a run of set plays from which they eventually pulled one back through McBride. It was not the prettiest goal of his glittering career but it was one which roused the team and eventually led to an equaliser from Mehul after yet another excellent Jacob delivery. It is games like this that give glimpses into why Celtic paid out a record transfer fee to secure the personality-man's services.
Both teams had chances to snatch victory yet in the end a draw was a fair result, though given the circumstances the Celtic men may well be the happier.

Celtic 1 - 4 Falcons
Wings clipped by the Champs
In blustery conditions in a beautiful stadium Celtic battled valiantly vs. the League champions and current leaders Falcons but ultimately came up short.
Two somewhat fortuous goals coupled with two crackers made all the difference as Celtic did their best to keep up with the fleet footed Falcons. After a fast start on the wet carpet Celtic were unlucky to fall behind when a set piece was loosely cleared and a tame shot slipped through the wet hands of goalkeeper Derek. A superb chest and volley finish from Brasilian star Jair followed by another lucky goal led to a 3-0 deficit for the Celts leading into the final 30minutes.
Celtic however, remained optimistic having played well for the first 60 and came out with all guns blazing in the final 30. Jin who had been close to scoring earlier in the game lived up to his goal a game reputation with a calm finish and soon after missed a chance to make it 3-2. With the boys in green pushing for a second goal Falcons broke away to win a free kick which was expertly dispatched by their very own Johnny Wilkinson. After a gallant display where they did not look out of place against such high calibre opposition Celtic will go into next weeks match vs. Villains believing that a first victory in division 1 is very much attainable.

Celtic 1 - 1 SISC
Off the mark
Celtic picked up their first point of the season on the rough plains of Seobingo with an at times excellent performance. Fans however were dismayed to see a lack of discipline from many players which some believe cost the team all 3 points. After a bright start Celtic finally got some reward for their domination when Jun Young bulleted home a header from a perfect McBride delivery. Rather than build on their lead however Celtic became wasteful in possession and finally coughed up a goal after some shoddy defending from a corner. The management were up in arms at yet another goal conceded from a cross but the team pulled together to launch some stellar attacks in the the final period. SISC had their chances too and in the end most neutrals deemed a draw a fair result, however when the clouds of dust settled ,and were washed from the hair of those who still have some, both teams will be disappointed to have only earned a point in what was a clash of the basement dwellers. With their October 13th game being postponed Celtic's players have had a lot of time to reflect on their first point in division one and will be looking forward to their clash vs. Champions Falcons under the floodlights on October 20th. A record attendance is expected and the boys in green will hope that the fans can help cheer them on to what would be a huge victory.

Celtic 0 - 4 Cosmos
Woe is Seohyeon
Celtic's run of bad results continued with a 4th successive league loss. As has been the trend Celtic were fast out of the blocks and looked very comfortable in the first 30. The team were urged to push on and score first but a moment of bad luck de-railed the Celtic push and rattled the boys in green. New signing Mehul was unlucky to deflect a cross into his own net, a sad blemish on an otherwise great performance from the English midfielder. Despite the best efforts from Seohyeon's home fans the team seemed to lose their confidence and were soon 3 - 0 down. Due to a mixture of injuries and late cancellations the Celtic squad looked a bit thin and players were forced to play in unfamiliar positions which did nothing to help and a late Cosmos goal finished the scoring at 4 - 0. it was the teams heaviest competitive defeat since their first ever game and they now have the Chuseok break to work on setting things right.

Celtic 3 - 4 Outkasts
Close but not close enough
After a week which included a closed to the media meeting between players and manager as well as a highly successful training session Celtic came out looking for victory. They quickly settled into the match and 2 goals from Simon and Jin had Celtic cruising at 2-0 at the end of 30minutes.
A first victory in Division One looked to be on the cards and Celtic fans were jubilant. The second 30 however had a sting in its tail and some woeful refereeing decisions let Outkasts bring the game level at 2-2. Outkasts were warded 2 penalties (1 just 1 not) and a free kick that never was from which they scored their goals. Celtic's management and fans did their best to get the boys in green back into the game mentally and a vicious corner from Jin was headed into his own net by an unfortunate Outkast defender which left the Celts 3-2 up after 60 minutes.
The referee continued to wear orange in the final 30 as decision after decision went against the boys in green. They had individual errors to blame however for the 2 goals which won the match for Outkast and will be very disappointed that they surrendered leads and eventually waled away pointless.
On a positive note the team looked far more cohesive than in previous weeks and once more showed that they are not far behind the Division One elite.

Celtic 0 - 1 Uzbek
Old rivals meet again
Celtic were once mor eunder par and suffered a loss to last season's main rivals Uzbek.
Uzbek were much changed for when the teams last met but still managed to form a cohesive
unit wheras Celtic looked out of touch and were not helped with 6 players turining up well after kick off.
Although they started with 9.5 players Celtic looked ready for the fight but injuries and player tardiness took a toll and
Uzbek took the lead out of nowhere. Despite the best efforts of the boys in green Uzbek took a crucial 3 points and Celtic were left still looking for their 1st points and goals of the season.

Villains 3 - 0 Celtic
Welcomed the hard way.
Celtic suffered a 3-0 defeat in their first match in the top division.
Although many positives can be taken from the performance
the lads will be hoping for a big improvement in the coming weeks.
Although missing key centre backs Sean and Greg the Seohyeon backline performed
well and it took two amazing strikes to break the deadlock. Villains did well to soak
up 3rd period pressure from Celtic and will be happy to have beaten the new team by
such a convincing score.

Celtic clean sweep
3 wins from 3 and no goals conceded by on form Celtic
On a hot June's day in the far west of Seoul the green army marched towards the cup semi finals.
Preparations were disrupted by an injury to manager Hayes the previous week but the Celtic team
grouped together to help get a team ready for this group stage.
Games were 30 minutes each with all 3 games to be played on the same day. Celtic were grouped with Wanoo's,
Groove and Bulker's. The top two teams after all games had been played were to go on to the Semi's.
Celtic started with what looked like the toughest game on paper and confidently strode to a 2-0 win, with that man Collins striking again after a lovely
through pass from ever improving Eddie and Joey adding a late tap in after a low cross from Dominic. The Celtic goal never looked in danger until the final minute when Derek threw himself bravely on the ball to prevent a Wanoo's striker from nicking an ill-deserved equaliser.
The 2nd match up proved a lot more frustrating as Celtic were unable to turn dominance into goals vs. Groove FC. This meant that the match went to a penalty shootout which had the the tens of fans on the edges of their blankets.
Derek got things off to the perfect start with a fantastic save and Celtic never looked back, with all 4 of there penalties being scored - by Dobbins, Collins, Joey and finally Dominic. A highlight for many Celtic fans was when ex-Celtic player Matthew Grey blazed his spot kick miles over. This reporter however
does not wish to celebrate the misery of a former Celtic member.
On the back of such a morale boosting win Celtic strolled to a 4-0 victory in their final group game over Bulkers. Zimmerman, Joey(2) and Raman were the scorers. With 9 points Celtic topped the group and celebrated with beers in the sun. Not too many however as there is still a cup to be won.

Seohyeon Celtic 5 - 3 Kimchi Kickers
Promotion Achieved!
On an action packed afternoon in Seoul, Seohyeon Celtic achieved what they narrowly missed out on last year, promotion to the top flight. After a quick start, with Zimmerman's first ever goal, Celtic looked to be cruising to victory. There were however still some twists to this tale as manager and midfield lynchpin Hayes was floored and had to be taken to hospital with a suspected broken leg. The game had to carry on and with the mood understandably subdued Celtic's players looked off their game. Kickers looked to take full advantage of this lull in Celtic's performance level but it was the boy's in green who struck next. New signing Simon continuing his impressive start with a well taken goal. It was far from over however as Kimchi struck to make it 2-1. Striking sensation Collins made it 3-1 before Kimchi once more struck back. Simon seemed to have settled it at 4-2 but Kimchi were not yet done. A fine long range strike made it 4-3 and had Celtic fans biting their nails.
As Kimchi pushed for an equaliser Celtic broke and Collins finished calmly to complete the scoring at 5 - 3. As the final whistle sounded Celtic fans were subdued in their celebration, but the magnitude of what was achieved on this day is sure to be appreciated more in the weeks to come.

Groove 1 - 5 Seohyeon Celtic
Back on form
Celtic tore old rivals Groove FC apart with a clinical display which ended a winless run
and renews confidence ahead of 2 huge games in the promotion race.
New signing Simon proved an instant hit with 2 well taken goals which were added to
by 2 goals from in form Collins and another goal of the season contender from
highly paid but not so highly rated Jacob. Celtic never looked in trouble despite the high tension which surrounded the game
before kick off and will look to take this form into their final 2 must win matches.

Phoenix 1 - 1 Seohyeon Celtic
Close at the top
A fiery game saw the spoils shared as Celtic staged a roaring come back to draw 1 - 1 with title rivals Phoenix.
In a match where there was no love lost Celtic were the superior team for long spells, but as has been the case in recent weeks failed to make it count in the goals for column. Phoenix took the lead after a mix up in the Celtic defense and it seemed as if they would sneak a win. but celtic were having none of that and pressed and pressured, hitting the post and forcing numerous corners. Dobbins and Jacob both missed gilt edged chances before the pressure finally paid off.
After a melee in the box skipper Joey's shot was handled on the line and Collins calmly put away the spot kick. There could have been a winner for Celtic but in the end they had to settle for a point which ends their recent losing streak and reawakens the quest for promotion which has been the long stated goal of this fine football team.

Uzbeks 2 - 0 Seohyeon Celtic
Uzbekislammed
Celtic suffered a 2nd consecutive defeat on the dirt that leaves them with it all to do in their pursuit of the division title. Although the first half was quite even Celtic would have been ahead on most judge's scorecards but came in after 45minutes with nothing to show - with Dobbins' miss from 2 yards the main regret. In the 2nd 45 Celtic had Derek to thank for keeping them in it for long periods before a clumsy challenge from Jacob gave the Uzbeks the chance to take the lead. Their very own Frank Lampard dispatched the peno which was so well placed that even an in-form and returning Derek had no chance. Celtic pushed for an equaliser with John providing a spark off the bench. Jacob went close to atoning for his earlier mishap with a rasping drive that went just over and Collins went close to breaching the Uzbeki rearguard on a number of occassions. The luck was not with the Celts on this day however as the Uzbeks scored a late 2nd to seal the game and put themselves back in contention at the top of the league. Celtic will have to recover quickly and bounce back to beat league leaders Phoenix if they wish to remain in the hunt.

M.S.F.C 4 - 3 Seohyeon Celtic
Brought back down to dirt
A combination of tardiness, tiredness and some bad slip ups led to Celtic's unbeaten run coming to a crashing halt on the dirt in Guil. M.S.F.C have been one of Celtic's biggest rivals since their coming into existence but expectation were high ahead of this game based on a season starting 3-1 victory vs. the same team. Celtic however were not up to standard and despite threatening to open the scoring on a few occassions found themselves 1-0 down after 30minutes. The second 30 proved to be more of the same. M.S.F.C caught stand-in keeper Hayes off guard with a long range free kick to make it 2. Celtic protests that the whistle had not been blown fell on deaf ears. As the period neared its conclusion Dobbins was badly caught out and gifted the Malaysians a 3rd goal which to onlookers would seemingly spell the end of the game as a contest.
Celtic however had other ideas and came out strongly in the final 30, determined to prove that they were the better team. with a more attacking 3 - 3 - 1 - 3 formation Celtic dominated possession and M.S.F.C resorted to stalling tactics as well as some foul play which resulted in a red card for their volatile number 10. Goals from Harris and Collins brought the scores to 3-2 and it seemed as if Celtic would go on to equalise sooner rather than later. However some naive defending left the backline exposed and despite brave efforts from Michael the Malaysians caught Celtic on the break to give themselves some breathing room with time running out. To their credit Seohyeon refused to give up and went close with a number of shots, headers and a free kick which whistled just over the bar. With one minute to go captain Joey scored from a Collins corner but it proved too little too late. Celtic's players trudged off feeling down but a stern yet fair team talk left them believing that the title was still theirs to grab. Upcoming games vs. Uzbek and Phoenix will leave the title picture looking a lot clearer and this loss could prove to be a needed wake up call for the boys in green.

Seohyeon Celtic 6 - 0 Bulkers
Celtic reign in the rain
Seohyeon produced a fantastic performance to warm their fans on a cold April afternoon. With a strong squad turn out Celtic made light of goalkeeper Derek's injury by limiting Bulkers attacks and by laying siege on the Bulkers goal. Though Seohyeon failed to break through in the first 30 they always looked the more likely and it was a strike from midfielder Jun Young that opened the floodgates. Further goals from Harris, a long range effort from Dobbins and a contender for goal of the season from new signing John gave Celtic a healthy 4 goal lead before the last period. With the wind and rain picking up in the last 30 both teams struggled to keep the ball in play, but a sublime free kick from player manager Hayes combined with another smooth finish from John put a more appropriate look on the scoreline. Celtic went off to dry themselves with spirits high after another clean sheet and strong attacking performance. Next up for the lads are old adversaries M.S.F.C which promises to be a much tougher test.

Seohyeon Celtic 3 - 0 Kimchi Kickers
Late Start Early Finish
After a delay to kick off caused by an administrative mix up Kimchi had still yet to have 11 players turn up and so started with just 8. Celtic were however slow to start and failed to take full advantage. By the time Kickers had brought their numbers up to the full 11 the game was still 0 - 0. The early signs however were promising for Celtic with Michael continuing to improve in his right-back role, providing a legitimate threat and working well with Dobbins. Hayes and Jun Young controlled the midfield with the defence standing strong as usual. Chances were being created and Seohyeon thought they had taken the lead only for Jun Young's goal to be correctly disallowed for offside. Though adept on the ball, the Germans were unable to cope with Seohyeon's strength and speed and 2 goals before the end of the first 30 put Celtic in the drivers seat. The first came after some neat build up put the Jinsane one through on the keeper and he made no mistake in converting his 7th of the season. The 2nd came from captain Joey who showed that his drought is well and truly over with a cheeky lob that left the keeper scrambling to no avail.
After a prolonged break Celtic looked hungry in the 2nd 30 with McBride, Jacob and Collins all introduced. Celtic went on to produce chance after chance but only 1 goal came with a close range from Jin putting a more appropriate gloss on the scoreline. Anyone in attendance will tell you that 8-0 would have been more accurate. Celtic missed 2 peno's with Dobbins and McBride the surprising culprits. The woodwork was also battered 5 times and further chances were either missed or saved spectacularly. The whistle came as a huge relief to the Kickers but Celtic were eager for the last 30 to begin so that they could provide a score line more reflective of their dominance. Sadly the chance never came as the Germans said 'Wir mussen weg' and hightailed it before their ego's took anymore of a battering. Celtic's victory combined with a first loss for Phoenix has put them top of the Leauge once more and they look in good shape to carry the good form of the past few weekends into their upcoming games.

Wanoo's 2 - 5 Seohyeon Celtic
Strong Comeback
Seohyeon recovered from going two goals down to storm back and claim an impressive 5-2 victory vs. Wanoo's.
Armed with new recruits Collins and Harris, Seohyeon started the game brightly with some slick football, some of which resulted in a golden chance for Joey to end his goal scoring drought, yet despite being presented with a shot on goal he managed to drag it just past the post. It looked like Celtic might live to regret that miss when 2 quick fire goals from Wanoo against the run of play put the home team 2 goals up. The 1st goal was the result of a defensive mix up which allowed a Wanoo's striker to intercept a Derek clearance and put his side 1-0 up. The second goal came directly from a corner when some weak defending led to an uncontested header which left Derek with no chance. Despite the 2 goal deficit Celtic heads never dropped and they looked to end the 1st period on a high. Some stellar work from the debutants led to a Harris headed goal from a Collins cross. The whistle sounded right after and Celtic went into the break with their spirits high.
Celtic bossed the second part of the game and after a period of dominance D.H.L lived up to his name and delivered the equaliser. Collins continued to torment the Wanoo's defence and after hitting the post with an earlier effort powered his way through to put Celtic 3 - 2 ahead. It looked as if Celtic would add to their lead but the 4th goal didn't come in the 2nd period, leaving manager Hayes nervous but full of belief.
The 3rd and final period saw a changed Celtic team pick up where they left off but without a 4th goal to show for their efforts. Hayes paced the sidelines barking orders, knowing that one slip could see Wanoo's undeservedly even the scores. The Celtic faithful feared the worse when a Wanoo's free kick rippled the net but it turned out to be only the side netting. After that scare Celtic upped the tempo with Joey replacing D.H.L and the debutants Harris and Collins continuing to terrorise the Wanoo's defence. The Celtic manager was finally able to relax when captain Joey finally broke his drought with an audacious effort from outside the box. When Zimmerman won yet another frim tackle in the defensive midfield area he carried the ball forward at pace and released Joey on the wing. Number 13 beat the right back and set himself up for a cross. The Wanoo's keeper however left a huge gap in the goal so the striker, desperately wanting to break his duck, decided to try his luck - and the luck of the Irish was in with the ball nestling in the net much to the disbelief of the crowd. Celtic continued to push and some stellar and unselfish work from Harris left Collins with a chance which was saved but landed on the right foot of Joey who placed it powerfully into the net. 5-2 and no less than Celtic deserved.
After match talk amongst the press pack was that this was Celtic's most dominant performance to date with outstanding performances all over the park and 2 new players who seamlessly fitted in and added an extra attacking edge to the Celtic Culture Club.

Seohyeon Celtic 2 - 1 Groove FC
Back in the groove
Celtic got back to winning ways inspired by two goals from manager Liam Hayes. Desperate to make amends for last weeks defeat the Seohyeon lads were flying from the start aided in part by a very strong wind which blew near the picturesque mountains in Northern Seoul. Groove, featuring some ex-Celtic players have come a long way since being last seasons whipping boys and posed a much tougher test this time around for the Celtic boyo's. A strong first period saw the nerves settled after an excellent McBride corner was cushioned by Joey to an onrushing Hayes who made no mistake in planting the ball firmly in the onion bag. Inspired by Katie's tough tackling and Shao's marauding runs Celtic looked to score a 2nd before the break but to no avail. The 2nd period saw Celtic on the defensive foot with the wind
now much stronger and blowing against them. The defence, admirably marshalled by Zimmerman and Sean with help from Silva, Zweli and Lovett held strong however and survived a couple of shaky moments. Groove heads were down going into the 3rd period and Celtic took full advantage. A swift counter attack saw the Jinsane one dart free but his one on one effort was well saved - however the ball rolled perfectly into Hayes' path and with one hand on his chin he stroked it into the top right corner from outside the area. 2-0 and coasting. Groove sought to turn the game into a battle with Jacob in particular on the end of some harsh tackles - though he was no innocent angel himself and had to be restrained more than once. With Groove's roughhouse tactics causing some confusion they pulled one back when Dobbins was caught napping at the back post from a well taken corner. Though nerves were frayed the result never looked too much in doubt and Celtic kept up their pursuit of Phoenix with a well-earned 3 points. A downside to the victory however were the injuries picked up by various Celtic players including a knee injury which kept MVP Zimmerman from the action for most of the final 30minutes. The win however will keep the Celtic Culture Club in high spirits heading into a big match vs. Wanoo's this coming Saturday.

Phoenix 2 - 0 Seohyeon Cetic
Celtic off the pace
Celtic’s unbeaten run came to an abrupt end vs. a well organised Phoenix outfit. Celtic were out of sorts from the get go, with late arrivals and a few groggy heads giving Phoenix the impetus they needed to take a firm grip on the game. A lot of blame was firmly placed on a man named Patrick.
Phoenix claimed victory with 2 long range efforts from their accomplished number 100 who also smashed the crossbar earlier in the game with 2 free kicks. In the end Celtic started to string some moves together but it proved too little too late. Manager Hayes spoke to the players about having to face disappointment and how the way to deal with it is to come back stronger. So while Celtic were knocked down on this day they are certainly not out. Various sources say that Celtic players were to be seen all over Seoul on Saturday in various states of jubilation and merriment – defying anyone who thought one defeat would knock them off their stride. Celtic players spoke of looking forward to righting the wrongs next Saturday and the fans have full belief that this will be the case.

Seohyeon Celtic 3 - 0 Uzbeks
Celtic Class shows through
In a game of frayed tempers Celtic showed their class and in the end won at a canter.
After a series of missed chances Jun Young put Celtic ahead after a chest and volley shot from Joey was saved into the Korean midfielder’s path. Jun Young gratefully obliged with a calm finish and Celtic were on their way. After some strong work from the Jinsane One, Jun-Young was again able to find space and finish with a shot in off the post.
The second period, in what has become Celtic custom, was a war of attrition with more fouls than goal mouth action. The Celtic rearguard however held strong and the 2-0 lead remained intact.
In the third period the game threatened to boil over with manager Hayes the victim of some particularly unnecessary fouls. Celtic managed to keep their heads and scored a deserved third in the final period with what will surely prove to be the goal of the season. Jacob (Seohyeon’s 2nd most expensive signing) picked the ball up on the left wing before proceeding to beat 5 men (one of them twice) with a variety of playground tricks that Messi himself would have been proud of, before finishing with a sweet strike in off the post. Celtic could have scored more but in the end were happy to finish their 1st game under floodlights with a strong 3-0 victory over the previously unbeaten Uzbeks.

CIS Bulkers 0 - 8 Seohyeon Celtic
Celtic continued their charge with a big away win vs. Bulkers.
The Celtic boys and girls went back to college last Saturday, but it was the Bulkers who were schooled. They’ll no doubt eight the sight of the boys in green, as hat-tricks from Dobbins and Jinsanity, an uncharacteristic tap in from Raman, and a first Celtic goal from McBride saw a comfortable victory.
With the match under way at an unnecessarily early hour, Seohyeon went straight on the front foot. Dobbins got the game off to a perfect start, bursting thought the middle of the defence and sliding home. Moments later it was two, that man Dobbins getting his scouse head onto a floated Hayes free kick. A slightly soft penalty gave Terry the chance for a hat-trick, and he made no mistake, finishing into the top corner. A further goal from Jin completed the scoring in an excellent first third.
With the lead established, a raft of substitutions saw some fresh blood introduced to the game, with Raman, DHL and Katie joining the fray along with “machine gun” Sean. Not just a reference to his Belfast roots, but also the frequency of his pot shots at goal. These efforts and a spectacular overhead kick from Raman were the highlights of the second period, notable for a much tighter Bulkers defence.
The last period was a much more exciting affair, as the goals started flowing once more. Jin was creating excitement on the sidelines, and some clever passing moves brought him a second, Raman scored a simple tap in, and McBride finally hit the target. Jinsanity was in full flow after another great break brought the enigma his hat-trick, and sealed the victory.
A fantastic goal straight from a corner, and a slight defensive miscommunication saw Bulkers hit the net in an apparently futile attempt at rescuing their goal difference. Even though the goals will not count due to the 'mercy rule' having already come into play Manager Hayes was quick to warn of the dangers of switching off, but with a great performance securing a second straight league win, he won’t have been too unhappy. Overall, a very pleasing start to the season.

Seohyeon Celtic 3 - 1 M.S.F.C
Celtic's title bid got off to a great start with a comfortable 3-1 victory vs. old rivals M.S.F.C.
Celtic had threatened to run riot after scoring an early opener that was quickly followed by a second and a host of other chances and set piece opportunities. Kyungsik Ha and Joey Doyle continued where they left off last season by combining to score the first with Ha finishing from Joey’s through ball. If the first goal was good the second was sublime with Terry Dobbins finishing off a move which involved 5 players before Ha’s killer through ball was expertly finished by the Scouser. Definitely an early contender for goal of the season. M.S.F.C were not killed off and, instead, maintained a foothold in the game which meant they were always just one slip up from Celtic away from being right back in the game.
The 2nd period of 30 minutes was a far more dour affair with M.S.F.C playing deeper and thus cutting off most of Celtic’s threat. It was a period of midfield battle with defenders at both ends only called into action sparingly. Rumours of Greg and Derek sneaking in a power nap have been widespread but as of yet photographical evidence has yet to surface. The period sparked into action as it neared its end with Ha once again the danger man but this time he was flattened by the onrushing keeper sustaining an injury which may keep him out of Celtic’s 2nd game. Jun-Young, who had another strong showing, went close with 2 headers before a fantastic move involving the front 3 of Joey, D.H.L and Jin resulted in a golden chance for ’Jinsanity’ which he inexplicably put wide of the post. D.H.L was brutally taken down just inside the box but once again Celtic did not have the refereeing Gods on their side. A 3rd goal seemed forthcoming but the time quickly ran out just as Celtic were finding their collective feet again.
The 3rd and final period was a far more action packed affair with M.S.F.C attacking strongly and keeping the Celtic defence, ably marshalled by Sean McBride on his competitive debut, on their toes. Crowd favourite and Celtic legend Lenny was on in a new look midfield with Zweli also excelling on the opposite flank. A steady Celtic build-up did not appear to carry too much threat but there was a real sting in the tail when Jin turned on his turbo engine, beating two defenders and rounding the goalkeeper before D.H.L delivered by snatching the ball off his fellow attackers toe to score. His celebration was enough to rival that of a goal scorer in the Champions League Final and was met with much delight from those in attendance. With Hayes and Eddie keeping the midfield solid Celtic looked to be cruising to victory until an out of character slip(push) by Sean gave M.S.F.C a chance to pull one back from the spot. Derek who had been solid on his competitive debut was unable to get near the well taken kick and the Malaysians had their 1st of the season. A splendid shot from Raman almost brought a 4th as time ran out, but Celtic with their manager counting every second ran the clock out to secure a 3-1 victory and get off to the ideal start.
The only blemishes on a fantastic start to the season were the 3 yellow cards, 2 of which were for dissent, picked up by Messrs Hayes, Raman and Albiston.
With players like Jacob and Crawford doing well in unfamiliar positions and player manger Hayes looking the part in midfield Celtic have a lot to be optimistic about. A solid defence of Derek and Sean combined with MVP Zimmerman and tough tackling Katie1 gives the team a sturdy yet sophisticated feel which will be vital in games to come.

"SEOHYEON BOSS HAYES BELIEVES"
After Seohyeon Celtic's grueling pre-season tour of Busan, one more friendly tie stood in their way before the start of the season, and inevitable glory. The stage was set at Gwacheon Arena, for what was to be an excellent display of defensive prowess. Against the odds Seohyeon Celtic overcame a somewhat jaded Seoul Villans outfit.
Having starting the match lively, Celtic (as usual) found themselves 1-0 down due to a dodgy penalty decision while the game was in its infancy. Despite this, Celtic went from strength to strength and made a number of good chances before finally netting to even the score..............( the writer of this article cannot write anymore as he needs to leave his apartment to go out, sorry)

Seohyeon Celtic returned to action after a few weeks break from action and beat Malaysian side MSFC 2-1 with goals coming from Tom Charlton and Joey Doyle.
The game started with MSFC having 8 players on the pitch, although Seohyeon Celtic didn't seem to realise. Seohyeon grabbed an early goal when Joey Doyle flick-headed in from a tough angle after 15 minutes.
MSFC then grabbed a surprise equaliser when Liam Hayes flapped like a fish at a free kick .
Seohyeon won the game when Tom Charlton hit a curled effort towards goal from a Doyle pass which definitely should go down as goalkeeping error.
Terry Dobbins made a surprise return to fitness and looked to have had a hair cut and developed an American accent since the rained off game against Hongdae, had a confident game at centre back alongside Matt 'Carlos Puyol ' Grey.
