New Signing Ademir says Hello
JD: Ademir! First of all, nice haircut. Secondly, welcome to Celtic! Can you tell us a bit about you and your background in Korea?
AD: Thanks! I’m Ademir, I’m 29 years old coming out of the United States. I have been in Korea for just under 5 years as an English teacher. I got married in 2014 to a wonderful Korean girl I met here, so I might be in Korea for a little while. It’s been a good experience so far. I’ve enjoyed my time here. JD: Have you always been a football (soccer) fan? What are your earliest memories of the beautiful game and who do you support these days? AD: I have been a soccer fan since 1994. I remember watching the World Cup with my family and Brazil was constantly on TV and I enjoyed the way they played. So since then, I have been a big Brazil fan. I also support FC Barcelona, the LA Galaxy and Liverpool. JD: We'll let the Liverpool part slide... It is early days in your Celtic career but you already viewed as athletic and versatile. Do you have a favoured position? AD: I enjoy running up and down the field, so I naturally enjoy the wing position. I like playing on the right side, but lately I have preferred playing on the left. Growing up, I mainly played keeper, so I am also very comfortable in that position. JD: That is great to hear. What are your expectations for your first season as a Celt? AD: It’s my first season at Celtic, so I don’t know exactly what to expect. In terms of our team position in the league, I feel like we have a pretty strong team to challenge the teams that have consistently been at the top. I mainly came to have the opportunity to play and stay active, but I have quickly felt a warm welcome by a lot of the players in the team. I feel comfortable being around many of my teammates and I know I have good friends to joke around with. Haha. JD: Finally, before we sign off do you have any words of encouragement for your teammates as they continue on with season 10? AD: You can count on me with stats, but I would like my hard work and determination to be contagious. We might not have the best players in the league at the moment, but if we work together, I know we can accomplish anything. We began the Spring 2016 season by defeating the defending champions 5-0. That means something. Let’s keep it going… the sky is the limit! JD: As Biggie once said, the sky is indeed the limit, and we know his word is gospel. Thanks Ademir and best of luck on and off the pitch! |
Celtic Manager Welcomes The New Season
With the 2015 season just days away manager JY9 has been in an upbeat mode. Stopping freely to give sound bytes to reporters from around the world JY was heard to say, in various languages, that he is very optimistic about the coming season. His main points included a happiness that the core of the squad has returned fit and healthy, his excitement about the potential of Celtic's new signings and his delight at Joey Doyle agreeing to retake the captain's armband. JY9 was noticeably beaming and boomed out declarations of better overall organisation and pre match routines. This includes the team being announced an hour before kick off and a set system for the pre match warm ups. JY9's words have been warmly received by Celtic fans worldwide.
Tidy Tevez Talks
Word around the Bundang campfire has been that Celtic youngster Tevez has been hitting the gym to get ready for the upcoming season. Our intrepid reporting team decided not to take the word of the aul lad in the GS Mart and went to find out the truth from the man himself.
Tevez was found, gym bag in one hand, a bottle of TREVI water in the other and gladly obliged to our requests for information. He told us his goal was to be the best Tevez he could be, not just for himself but for the whole club. He also added that the pressure associated with his new squad number was an added motivation. Tevez was kind enough to provide the following details regarding his pre season eating plan:
Generally, I eat six or seven times a day," he said. "It's about getting enough protein to aid lean muscle growth, and everything is very precisely measured depending on what targets I'm looking to hit for that day. Lots of protein, good carbs, and veggies. Nutrition is so important, it can't be stressed enough. For the new season it was a 6 week diet, full on. I'd eat a bunch of egg whites, filet mignon, chicken, fish, oatmeal, broccoli, asparagus, a baked potato, cream of rice, salad, kimchi jigae and a bit of galbi. All of this measured and weighed."
We here at Celtic News would like to thank our translating team for their efforts. We would also like to remind our readers that if you want to meet the ever sexy Tevez and see what his new number is, Celtic are in action this coming Saturday vs Cosmos.

Ricky unhappy with Rumours
With rumours abound about onfield bust ups the Celtic news team decided to track down forward Rick and get his take on it all.
'Bust ups? Me?? The only busts I like are ones like on that one over there. I can't be mithered with all this talk, I've a pub to get to, I'm gagging for a pint'.
When pursued Rick said he would only answer questions not to do with any alleged bust ups. We asked his opinion on the new kit; 'Ah mate, it's mint. Last seasons clobber was getting proper antwacky. I'm gonna look pure belter in my sexy medium'. When our reporter raised an eyebrow and repeated 'medium?' Rick stormed off to the bar. We look forward to him banging in the goals and attempting a Ravenelli celebration.

Captain Canada bids Adieu
JD: William Yatscoff, part time footballer, full time champion, you are the latest in a line of Celtic legends to leave the bhoys behind, how are you feeling about your departure?
Willy: I was a little sad about the transfer fee Celtic accepted for my move to Canada, but it is a good move for my illustrious career. Although the league isn't as competitive in Canada as compared to Korea the increased playing time and grass pitches will be good for my continued dominance on and off the pitch.
I am happy to be moving on, but when you transfer overseas there is a lot of adversity and distractions that might affect your play. I am hoping to have them worked out well in advance while working with my new team to make sure that I can focus and get to my best performance quickly. I'm sure to miss all the great players I was with, and Lenny too - despite their drinking habits and chronic drug abuse (Jacob).
JD: Do you have any highlights or favourite memories from your time with the Celts?
Willy: To choose one favourite memory from my experiences at Celtic wouldn’t do the team justice. I can honestly say that I have no favourite memories from Celtic. All the memories were equally acceptable. Like beating those Irish lads (interviewer's note: I think he means Sean McBride and Liam) at Pro Evo every time and scoring a goal against Bundang FC. Drinking after every game with everyone, but I barely remember that oh and of course showing off the underwear which got yellower (that's Canadian for more yellow) each week. Good times.
JD: What words of wisdom would you like to impart to the teammates you are leaving behind?
Willy: If I could give just one piece of advice to the team I would say, be like water making its way through cracks. Do not be assertive, but adjust to the object, and you shall find a way around or through it. If nothing within you stays rigid, outward things will disclose themselves.
Empty your mind, be formless. Shapeless, like water. If you put water into a cup, it becomes the cup. You put water into a bottle and it becomes the bottle. You put it in a teapot, it becomes the teapot. Now, water can flow or it can crash. Be water, my friend...
JD: William Yatscoff, the man, the legend, the bollix, Celtic thank you for your service and wish you all the best in your future endevours! Is there anything you would like to say to your legions of fans before you go?
Willy: To my fans who came to every game in spirit. I would like to say that I will be on loan to Celtic in the next few years for a game or two while in town. So don’t get all sad and depressed without the only truly world class star player on the team with the greatest matching underwear. There will be others (not really). I have made recommendations for the team to have matching underwear they could wear to the games. This would help improve team work and post-game bonding. Although may result in STD transfers due to underwear mix ups, but that is a small price to pay to make the fans happy. Good luck in the next season and I'd like to drink out of the trophies you guys win. Keep in touch and there is always a room with your name on it (white board) if you want to come visit.

Greg, The Original MVP
JD: Mr Zimmerman, aka MVP, Celtic fans were sad to hear of your departure yet still all fansites and football related phone-ins have spoken positively of you and your wish to pursue a music career. How does it feel to leave such a loyal fan base behind?
Greg:
Well it's been hard. I miss all the gifts, the offers of a free ride (which I always refused) and I had gotten used to the mob outside of my apartment that shouted “All hail the MVP!” into the wee hours of the morning. But I'll have to live on the memories.
JD: What were some of your favourite memories from your time as Celtic's number 11?
Greg: Hard to choose just a few. We've had some great victories, like the win over the African team during the peace rally tournament (where we almost fought). Bagging a goal at the end of the second season was also pretty great. Some of my favorite memories were when the team hung out in the Olympic Park after a match. By the way, what's with the Mee hall guy gettin my number 11 jersey? What is up with dat shit?
JD: Do you have any words of encouragment for your Celtic bretheren?
Greg: I would say get back to the basics of football and go out there prepared to win, but ready to have fun. It's easy to lose sight of that if the season isn't going exactly the way you've planned. And practice throw-ins. And reading subway maps. And saying no to the 15th pint...Jacob.
JD: We know you are busy touring the world and preparing for married life, so thank you for your time and thank you for all you did in the name of Celtic!
Greg: Celtic will always be my team. From a scrap of nothing to MVP, the classic retard to riches story. I'll miss Celtic, but I'll be happy to watch her development in my retirement. Best of luck boys!

Colo Collins Celtic Superstar
JD: Collins you have been a fan favourite here at Celtic for more than 2 seasons now, what have been some of your best memories of that time?
CC: First of all I am very flattered to be refered to as a fan favourite, thank you very much. My time so far at Celtic has been great to be honest. The unwaivering support from fans and fellow players is a true indication of where these people hold Celtic, in their hearts. Having been here for 2 seasons now I have so many memories worth re-counting but a few I will mention here are; the day we played in the cup competition on a sand pitch and went through the whole day unbeaten. The penalty shoot-out in our last match that day was breath taking and worth remembering. A second great memory is the day we beat a team by 8 goals on an afternoon blessed with a downpour from heaven as well as a flood of goals on the field. With the way we played and the goals we scored that day we hardly even noticed the rain,
,it was just 'wow!'. I could go on for the entire interview listing all my happy memories as a Celtic player including hanging out after games, going for drinks, playing PS3 etc. but let me place a full stop here for now.
JD: Thank you for the detailed answer! Secondly, can you tell us something about what football means to you? When did you first fall in love with the game?
CC: To put it as precisely as I can, Football means the world to me, coming second only to my love for human beings. I feel like I have been in love with the game since I was a small kid. At that age I played constantly and, thought I don't like making such comparisons, the closest you could compare my style at that time to would be Messi(or Ronaldo if you like him more as a player ;) ). Nowadays I don't actually play to be better but I play to rediscover the old me - something I believe is possible with Celtic FC.
JD: Well your passion for the game is clear for all to see. What are your aims for the team and yourself for the rest of this season?
CC: My main aim is for Celtic to finish top of the table and return to division 1 with a bang! But first a big aim is to beat Ehwa in the return leg as we owe them! On a personal level, I know most of the readers will not believe this, but I love making goals more than I do scoring them, so my aim is to lead the team in assists and being top scorer would rank second!
JD: Let's hope you can do a Messi and accomplish both. Finally, Collins Colo do you have any words you would like to share with the millions of Seohyeon Celtic fans out there?
CC: I would like all our loyal fans to know we appreciate your support and your contribution to the team. As the season progresses we will look to be more consistent in how we play on the field and our performances will reflect the efforts that the players and fans put in. Looking forward to seeing everyone at the pitch!

Celtic's Keeper lets us in
JD: First of all congratulations on achieving promotion in your first season at Celtic. How does it feel?
Derek: First off, thank you and I'm happy to be a proud member of Seohyeon Celtic! So proud in fact that the night before a game, when I frequent Dublins, I become inebriated by that pride. So much so that I wake up still prideful and even feel it during some of our games. During one of our matches I had so much pride before that I was late and it overwhelmed me for the first half but I was able control it during the later halves...but we don't need to talk about the P word, they're history.
So how does it feel? It hurts actually. I'm still recovering from the celebratory face punches Katie T gave me after the group stage of our cup tournament. Man, she's one tough defender.
JD: Was there one particular moment this season when you felt sure the team would be going to division 1?
Derek: I had the first great epiphany whilst I was enojoying a smoke, picking flowers and building sand castles. I believe it was during the first half of our opening game against MSFC.
Interestingly the second epiphany didn't occur during a game at all, but afterwards at our sponsors bar. It was around the time when we were drinking like T-rexs, unable to point at each other, paddling canoes like vikings and using our invisible bleep bloop binoculars. Suffice it to say, it was a spiritual experience.
The final realization occurred during our last game against Kimchi, when our dear leader made the ultimate sacrifice. When that ambulance pulled away from the pitch, I knew that there was nothing more holding us back. I saw plainly that I was not the only sharing this moment of clarity, I could see the joy was spread across all our comrades faces.
JD: Are there any regrets amongst the team about not finishing first?
Derek: Huh? Personally, I don't count the games I missed, so I believe that puts us in first. As for the rest of the team, I can't speak for them...
Joey - I wish Lenny was here.....LENNNNNNYYYYYYY!!!!!
Jacob - I'm just happy to get out of the house to look at girls, Google doesn't do girls justice.
Laim - If only I hurt myself earlier we could of had a chance, I'll never be so selfish again.
Katie T - I wish I could pee standing up, I'm gonna punch whoever mentions it or whoever I think might mention it.
Zweli - Damn I look good without a shirt on
Eddie - Damn I look good without a shirt on
Greg - Regrets? Well... wait, there's a dog chasing a ball, this looks like fun!
Raman - Damn I look good... give me a bite of your sandwich
Matt Silva - I never should have left..stupid stupid stupid
Terry - No comment (T_T)
JD: Finally, many Celtic fans are looking forward to challenging for the title next season. Do you think those aspirations are realistic or will survival be the main aim?
Derek:
I don't think we were challenged enough this season and we've yet to see our full potential...But rest assured, next season, we will see it!! Our defense is solid, only 14 goals against in 14 games. We will be under a lot more pressure, but I'm confident we will be able to handle it. I'm not too worried about our offense. As long as the midfielders can feed 'em the ball, our strikers will run with it. On a personal note, I'm going to start training more, mainly by cutting my smoking back to half a pack a game and limit my pre-gamenight pride boosting to only spirits and beer.
JD: Thank you for your time Celtic's number 1!
Derek: You are welcome and before I go I'll leave you with three things to ponder...
"Our Blood, Our sweat, Your Tears!"
"Talk with your feet. Play with your heart."
"Jacob, stop talking, no one can understand you"

Celtic's Classy Corean Conveys Conviction
JD: Jun Young, as one of Celtic's korean players how does it feel to be part of this team?
JY: I like to play on this team because my teammates are really love football just as much as me.
Sometimes it is hard to communicate through English and explain what I think on the pitch but I perfectly understand when manager Liam is angry kk.
JD: How do you feel about achieving promotion to Division 1?
JY; It gonna be a tough challenge for us. But i think we can overcome coz we have been playing together for long time now. I believe our team won't be satisfied with making up the numbers and I say lets get a real trophy nxt season by coming 1st!!!
JD: What was your own personal favourite moment this season?
JY: Beating our big rivals always makes me happy so I would say my favourite moment was Vs Uzbek when I scored two goals under the floodlights in Moran.
JD: Thank you for your time JY! Before we go do you have any words for your many fans out there?
JY:Fighting!!!Cmon Celtic!!!
Seohyeon's Shao addresses his public
JD: Godlisten Shao, you have been a member of the Celtic squad since the early days. How would you describe the teams progress so far?
S: Oh well; thank you so much for the handsome question. Actually I have been playing for Celtic for almost a year now, as you know Celtic is a community of committed and passionate people, with different backgrounds but with a couple of things in common; just enjoying football and maintaining friendship. These are cornerstones which have facilitated Celtic to cruise smoothly but ferociously in our mission to reach the highest levels. Players are wonderful; we are getting stronger game after every game. We have managed to build rocks such as Katie, Greg etc. Players are versatile and cooperative that’s why every team which is going to play us must attend a gym three times in a day for one week - but that is not limited to asking referees to be on their side. Even though, there some disappointments (losing games) we do figure out where we have derailed our winning streak and get into it again, ready to maintain our uniqueness. I am proud of you lads.
JD: The Celtic fans were very concerned upon hearing of your recent accident and flooded comment boards with messages of good luck . How are you feeling now and do you feel you are back to full fitness in time to help Celtic win the league?
S: We know that our life is not a straight line. We have to face a lot of difficulties and disappointments..But it's amazing to have people around you to help and comfort you. After that tragedy, I have essentially been practicing to regain my form, although I cant assure my fans that I am fit by 100% but at least by 99.9%. So lads lets forget about the past two games..lets think about the games to come..we can push on to win games so we can put the trophy on the shelf it deserves to be on..it will be fair for us and for the trophy as well ..Come on Celtic!
JD: Thank you very much for your time Shao. You are a gentleman and a scholar. Before you go do you have any words you would like to share with Celtic's faithful fans?
S: Generally, we are the best on the league..not only this season but even the previous one..that is unquestionable..so we as players must make our fans proud of us by winning the trophy..they want to see us in big games and that is only possible if we play right in the D1..we have couples of games to play but the most important thing is to have a zero tolerance to our competitors..lets slay all of them starting with our next fiercest rival..i hope we will give our fans a single thought if we win it..lets repay the patience and faith they have with us..great fans and so great must be the Celtic!

Celtic's record signing speaks out!
JD: How did it feel to become Celtic’s most expensive signing?
J: Did you ask my manager if I could be interviewed? I didn`t get any notice. Anyway I`ll be interviewed to please my huge amount of fans. I'm not sure if I am most expensive, I heard Lenny was verrrrry expensive but I`m very satisfied with signing as one of Celtic`s most expensive players. However I didn`t get my salary for the last 2 weeks. Having said that, I don`t want to be like Carlos Tevez. Basically I mean I don`t want to get in trouble with the club…especially Liam.
JD: What are your personal footballing aims for the coming season?
J: (Jacob looked visibly upset upon hearing this question) I hate fuckin personal football! Don`t give me that kind of image. I`ll always do my best on the pitch.
JD: What is your earliest football related memory?
J: When I was a primary school student, I was playing football every lunch time even if it was raining or snowing. I was crazy about football at that time.
JD: Before we finish, do you have any words for the ever-growing fan base of the Mighty Seohyeon Celtic?
J: Only look at me in the stadium. You`ll know how football should be played and what is the football. I`ll promise to you that I will give to you big pleasure.(a few raised eyebrows in the interview room) Though I wonder, if I` actually got a huge number of fans in our fan club… (Jacob’s train of thought drifted off and as it had yet to return within 5 minutes JD let himself out.)
Thank you for your time Jacob, Seohyeon’s number 23!

Zweli points the way to the top!
Seohyeon’s roving reporter JD sat down with Celtic’s Zweli to ask the marauding full back to share his thoughts with the team’s loyal fans;
JD: How did it feel to finish second in Celtic’s first ever season?
Z : I felt as good as I would have felt if we had won the league. Coz we’re the cream of the crop. Watch us rise to the top this season.
JD: What are your personal footballing aims for the coming season?
Z: To have fun, be there for The Celts until we lift the Trophy at the end and to see the despairing look on our opponents’ faces when we beat them. If it were allowed I would also like to bench press those suckers and toss them into the trash.
JD: What is your earliest football related memory?
Z: Way back when I was at primary school we used to play at a small “field” we discovered at a side of the river which appeared when the water ran dry. We had lots of nice games there. However we had to find a different field during rainy seasons.. (Zweli and JD share a deep manly laugh and high 5).
JD: Before we finish, do you have any words for the ever-growing fan base of the Mighty Seohyeon Celtic?
Z: I have one word for our fans… Celtic! That’s who we are and we’re going right to the top, yeah! Thanks for your support.
JD: Thank you for your time Zweli, Seohyeon’s South African superstar
